FISHING REPORT FOR MAY 22ND
It's about
time!!! The 2013 Walleye season is in full swing
on the big pond!
The big fish are biting, with a
keeper mixed in here and there. Plastics on a jig are
producing fish in the shallow weeds, 3-6 FOW continue to
work. Be carful, there are some Huge smallmouths
patrolling those areas, be prepared to battle those big
daddys! The traditional walleye opener spots are
starting to see some action with many fish being taken
in 22-28 inch range. You can head out to the mud flats,
but make sure you end the night close to shore.
The night bite has been the most consistent for
everyone, bobber/leech combo can work and a traditional
lindy's with Tutt's long line spinner in 5-14 FOW. With
water temps hovering around 43-45, Shiners and Rainbows
are the bait of choice for the "Hawg Eyes". Tutt's Bait
and Tackle continue to have Shiners, Rainbows and
Leeches to help support your efforts.
Panfish on
area lakes like Bay and Borden are finally in full
swing. Panfish leeches and Flu Flu's or a cubby mini
mite are working the best. don't forget on this holiday
weekend to get the kids and grandkids out fishing,
weather looks great for weekend so the kids will have
alot of fun.
